How to Measure?

Here's a step-by-step guide for measuring your shoulder width and three main body measurements (bust, waist, and hips):

Measuring Shoulder Width:

  1. Stand up straight with your back against a wall or in front of a mirror.
  2. Have a measuring tape ready or ask someone to assist you with the measurement.
  3. Locate the two bony points at the top of your shoulders, known as the acromion processes.
  4. Have the person helping you measure from the outer edge of one acromion process, over the top of your shoulder, to the outer edge of the other acromion process.
  5. Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.

Measuring Bust:

  1. Wear a non-padded bra or measure over your clothes to get an accurate bust measurement.
  2. Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, usually at the level of your nipples.
  3. Make sure the tape is level and not too tight or too loose.
  4. Take the measurement and record it.

Measuring Waist:

  1. Locate your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your torso, typically just above your belly button.
  2. Breathe out to relax your stomach muscles, but don't suck in your breath.
  3. Wrap the measuring tape around your waist at this level.
  4. Ensure the tape is snug but not tight, and record the measurement.

Measuring Hips:

  1. Stand with your feet together.
  2. Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips, usually around the buttocks.
  3. Make sure the tape is level across your hips and not twisted.
  4. Take the measurement and record it.

Note: For all measurements, it's important to replicate the fit of the clothing you're planning to wear. For example, if you're measuring for a tight-fitting dress, make the measuring tape snug; for loose clothing, allow a bit more room in your measurements.
